SUMMER TOURING

18 Jun 2011

Hello everyone,
We hope this finds you well.

Dig it. This weekend sees the start of Villagers’ summer touring with two shows on the same day on Saturday 18th June in the Netherlands. Conor and Cormac will be appearing at Naked Song Festival in Eindhoven for a stripped-down acoustic show at 5pm, after which they’ll be hitch-hiking their way to Utrecht to join the rest of the guys for a full band show at 8pm at de Beschaving Festival.

Then it’s back home to Ireland for the Sea Sessions Festival in Donegal on Friday 24th June and up to Belfast on Saturday 26th June where they’ll be opening for those beautiful Seattle folks Fleet Foxes at the Open House Festival in Custom House Square.

The following week, Villagers will be stopping off to play an instore in London at HMV Oxford Street for the launch of the Mojo Honours on Thursday 30th June at 7pm, before taking a leisurely trip to Cornwall where they’ll once again find themselves in the enviable position of being the opening act for those aforementioned Seattle folks at the awesomely beautiful Eden Sessions on Friday 1st July.

If that isn’t enough to satisfy your seemingly limitless appetite, Villagers have also just announced new shows to follow in Brighton, Paris, Montreux and Sheffield. Info Here

And finally, don’t forget Villagers’ big show at Dublin’s Marlay Park on Sat 23 July. Not only is this the band’s biggest headline to date, but it is likely to be their last show in Dublin for a while. Dig it. Very special guests at this show include the blissful tones of Beach House (this will be their only Irish show this summer) and the sweet summer sounds of Stornoway.
